Returns and refunds

This page explains how returns and refunds work at Auto Shop Australia.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing on this page reduces your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a part is faulty, does not match its description or does not do what it should, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund, whatever else this page says.

A part that does not fit its listing

If a part does not fit a vehicle that matches the make, model, series and build range in its title, contact us with your order number and a description of the problem.

Change of mind

A change of mind return needs the part to be unused, unfitted, unmarked and in its original packaging, and you need to contact us within the return window. Return freight is at your cost, and bulky items are expensive to send back, so please check fitment before ordering.

Parts that cannot be returned

  • Parts that have been fitted, test fitted with marked fixings, drilled, cut or altered.
  • Parts that have been painted, primed or prepared for paint.
  • Parts damaged after delivery.
  • Special order parts sourced for you, where this was made clear when you ordered.

Returning a part

  1. Contact us with the order number, the part number and the reason for the return.
  2. We confirm whether the part can be returned and send return instructions.
  3. Pack the part in its original packaging so it travels safely.
  4. After the part arrives and passes inspection, the refund goes back to your original payment method.

Please wait for return instructions before sending anything, as parts sent without notice can go missing at the warehouse.

Not sure you have the right part?

Send us your rego or VIN along with the part you need, and ask us before you order.
