Glass that drops, travels crooked or grinds usually means a broken regulator, the rail and cable mechanism that raises the window. A window that does nothing at all could instead be the motor or the switch.

Your checklist

• Front or rear, left or right
• Power or manual wind-up
• Motor included or not
• Plug and pin count
• Series and build range

Fitting notes

If the old motor still runs, a regulator without a motor saves money, provided the motor mount and plug match. Manual and power regulators are different parts.

Which side is which: on vehicles delivered new in Australia, the right hand side is the driver’s side and the left hand side is the passenger side.
