Reflectors: buying notes

Reflectors are small, inexpensive and easy to knock out of a rear bumper, and a missing one is a common reason for a defect notice. Each is shaped to its bumper opening, so it suits a particular model and often a particular facelift.

Your checklist

• Position on bumper or body
• Reflector alone or combined with a lamp
• Build range and bumper shape
• Left or right hand side

Fitting notes

Most reflectors clip in from outside or are held by a small nut behind the bumper.

Which side is which: on vehicles delivered new in Australia, the right hand side is the driver’s side and the left hand side is the passenger side.
