Indicators: buying notes

Indicators sit in several places: on the front guard, inside the door mirror or as a separate front lamp. Each location is its own part, so start with where the indicator is on your car, then match the shape.

Your checklist

• Guard, mirror, bumper or headlight position
• Clear, smoked or amber lens
• Lens only or complete lamp
• Build range
• Left or right hand side where handed

Fitting notes

Guard repeaters usually clip into the panel and twist free, while mirror indicators need the glass or cover removed first.

Which side is which: on vehicles delivered new in Australia, the right hand side is the driver’s side and the left hand side is the passenger side.
