Daytime Driving Lights: buying notes

On late model cars, daytime running lights are usually LED modules in the bumper or around the fog lamps, and often only on higher grades. A base model bumper may have neither the mount nor the wiring for them.

Your checklist

• Grade, as DRLs are often on upper grades only
• Lamp alone or with bumper surround
• Connector and mounting shape
• Build range
• Left or right hand side

Fitting notes

LED modules are replaced as a whole unit rather than by changing a globe. Compare the plug and the shape with the photo.

Which side is which: on vehicles delivered new in Australia, the right hand side is the driver’s side and the left hand side is the passenger side.
