Fog Lights: buying notes

Sitting low in the bumper, fog lights are often the first lamp damaged by road debris or a nudge. This category holds the lamp itself. The plastic surround or blanking cover is a separate part under Covers and Inserts.

Your checklist

• Factory fog light wiring and switch on your car
• Round, rectangular or LED strip to suit the opening
• Series and build range
• Globe or LED
• Left or right hand side

Fitting notes

If fog lights were not fitted at the factory, the bumper may have blanked openings but no wiring or switch, so a lamp on its own will not work. Where they were fitted, the new lamp bolts to the existing bracket and plugs into the existing connector.

Which side is which: on vehicles delivered new in Australia, the right hand side is the driver’s side and the left hand side is the passenger side.
