Corner Lights: buying notes

Corner lights wrap around the front corner beside the headlight and usually carry the park light, the indicator or both. They are typical on Hilux, LandCruiser and older Japanese models, and they often change at a facelift even when the headlight stays the same.

Your checklist

• Clear or amber lens
• Narrow or wide body version on 4WDs
• Facelift shape and build range
• Globes supplied or reused
• Left or right hand side

Fitting notes

The same model has used both clear and amber lenses over the years. Most corner lights fix with one screw or a spring clip behind the headlight, and the globes and holders swap across.

Which side is which: on vehicles delivered new in Australia, the right hand side is the driver’s side and the left hand side is the passenger side.
